We have a war of our own at present, of course, and the rules on social distancing will of course be adhered to.  This means that our room at Jurys, which normally takes 60 people, will only have seating for 30.  We also ask that, instead of signing in, you bring a pre-prepared slip of paper bearing your name and your most up-to-date telephone number just in case we need to contact you subsequently.  You should also bring your face mask though I hope they will not be considered necessary.  But that is a decision for the day.  Rest assured we are doing all we can to protect you by following the safety recommendations laid down by the government.

Due to uncertainty over the pandemic, this event has now been postponed until May 2021.  More details to follow in due course.

We are hoping, with all fingers and toes crossed, that our projected return boat trip down the canal to lunch at Double Locks will still take place on 17 September.  However, we must await a decision from our lords and masters as to whether this trip will be legal on that day.

If we can’t go ahead with 17 September, no doubt we will be able to find a date next year for you all to enjoy the wind in your hair and a friendly lunch in our own designated dining room.

All talks are now on the second Thursday of alternate months (February, April, June, August, October & December).                                          All meetings start at 7 pm and are held at JURYS INN, Western Way, Exeter EX1 2DB.                                                                  Free parking is available from 6pm in the Triangle Car Park at the rear of Jurys.                                                                                Walks/visits are usually on the second Wednesday of alternate months (January, March, May, July, September November).
