'What are the links between film and theatre to Exeter'?    'Fred Carnow and Munroe'?  Which famous film stars and theatre players are linked to Exeter?

On our visit to the Bill Douglas Museum we will be given full explanations as to why Exeter has a world famous museum and all the links to the world of make believe and Hollywood stars. We will learn how movies were made and indulge our imaginations for the past our parents would have known.

We'll be exploring the development of pre-cinema visual culture up to 1910 and celebrating cinema from 1910 to the present.  We will be shown artefacts covering all aspects of cinema and pre-cinema as we cover the history of the moving image over the last 400 years!

The cost, as usual, is only £3 but it is essential to book for this popular event as places are limited.  The link is:

Apologies for such a long-winded links.  We've tried using shorter links but they just go wrong all the time !
