EXETER'S HISTORIC PLAQUES

A guided tour of plaques in and around the High Street

Wednesday, 18 September 2019

This afternoon event on 18 September will be fascinating.  We will be visiting plaques of famous Exeter people and also looking at some historic places on the way.  An interesting slant is that we won't, as we normally do, be looking at history chronologically.  We will move from plaque to plaque, perhaps from one with a WW1 date then backwards in time to one which might cover a Victorian event.   And so on and so forth …

The walk will be starting and finishing in the city centre. We will stop at each place for some information about the subject, so it is not all just walking.  The event will commence at 2pm and take between 1½ - 2 hrs.   We could then go for tea or coffee afterwards, as a group or individually.

Tickets will be available from 9 am on Saturday, 13 July 2019.  The cost as usual is £3 (members and non-members alike) and the booking link is:
